Personality
At first glance, many can immediately tell that Leaping Treespirit is a proud wolf. His head is held high, and his chin up. His tail is erect like a flagpole, and his gaze haughty. His face always gives the impression that he is leering at you, judging you, and sizing you up. Most of this is true: he does act high and mighty, that doesn't mean he is. He is well aware of what things wolves say behind his back, but he doesn't care; to him, the mistake the majority of wolves made in their lifetime is to pretend to be something they were not. To be perfectly honest with yourself and with the world was the first step to a better life; hiding behind a rock the entire time will not lead to anyone noticing you, except when the rock is destroyed.
Treespirit's not stupid; he knows he has a lot to learn, and he's willing to work hard. He is very self-disciplined, and he often excludes himself from chat groups, and stays holed up in his own world. This leads, to, inevitably, others bullying him; in turn, he snaps at them, being irritated easily, and has developed a more defensive tough personality. If Treespirit is annoyed at someone, he'll be difficult to work with; he'll try to contradict everything they say, and waits until the other wolf utterly gives in. Then, he allows himself another sardonic smile, for he has won.
Treespirit is a clever wolf, and does things neatly with care. Things can turn a bit over-the-top, as he has a tendency to be obsessive and pedantic about things he has a passion for, such as organizing things. With an almost unlimited amount of energy, Treespirit will work himself ragged (leading to more teasing, and thus leading to more snapping and arguing) to complete a task. With excellent sight, he notices intricate details, and is able to memorize them easily. He can get easily frustrated and snappy at wolves who try to distract him, and can end up in a very bad mood.
Treespirit is a very matter-of-fact, down-to-earth sort of wolf. He cuts immediately to the chase and doesn't spend time trying to step around the subject at paw hand. Most of the time, he can appear to be impassive about everything, and usually doesn't show much emotion in his face (except haughtiness, that's a regular of Treespirit's). Treespirit isn't a rock, and he does have feelings. He simply shows them through his words ("To be perfectly frank, I think all this is a load of mouse-dung") and his slight changes in expression (such as scoffing or flicking his ears). He can be harsh, when expressing his true and honest opinions, and when yelling at someone out of anger or annoyance.
Strongly independent, Treespirit doesn't like wolves who try to oppress him. Often brutally honest, venomous, and extremely abrupt with these wolves, he doesn't go down without a fight. He feels strongly with Northern Islands, and can be aggressive to other wolves who are not from Northern Islands, or have an out-of-Pack background, such as a Transit. Extremely loyal to his friends, he cares deeply for those who are tolerant of him, and in turn, he puts himself at their beck-and-call.
On the other hand, however, Treespirit tends to assume too much, and sometimes judges others by stereotypes. For example, he thinks that all out-of-Pack wolves are just wolves who see Northern Islands (and the system of the Packs in general) as a playgroup, and he builds off his dislike on that. To these wolves, he may seem stuck-up and annoying, because he always seem irritated by them, and only grudgingly helps them. Nevertheless, though, Treespirit, in the end, can be merciful. If an out-of-Pack wolf did something so amazing, so life-changing for him (such as saving his life), then he very much will change his views on that wolf. Treespirit returns favors done to him.

History
Leaping Treespirit's parents push him to be his very best. They were the ones who encouraged him to focus on his training and focus on his duties instead of getting distracted all the time by unnecessary things. As a puppy, he didn't grow up with a lot of friends. His father took him out at a young age and started training him up, and gradually his denmates excluded him altogether from their games, as he never got to learn them anyway.
Treecub was a loner as a pupil, and spent time with young soldiers who tolerated him gently. He was seen by others as a stuck-up, kiss-ass who only wanted to do things that benefited himself, which frustrated him further-- no, he really did care about other wolves, no matter what they thought. He passed his assessment easily, and was named Leaping Treespirit for his excellent jumping skills. Today, he is still a bit bitter and antisocial, but he's making more of an effort to be a part of the Pack, and not just as a soldier.
